She was born June 22, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents Salvatore and Rosaria Marino. She was the last surviving of their nine children. Helen worked as a postmaster in Cottonwood Cove, Nevada for several years.
Helen was a former member of St. Andrew Parish in Boulder City and was a member of their Altar Society. She was generous with her time and talents as she volunteered throughout the Boulder City community, including the Senior Center and Meals on Wheels. Helen also enjoyed watching TV and bargain hunting for treasures at garage sales and the dollar store.
Helen is survived by her children: Robert (Jan) Anderson and Donna (Brian) Blaney, her grandchildren: Amber Valentine, Matt Ford, Mary Miller, Ernest Lipscomb, Wesley Miller, Ashlie Blaney, and Kevin Ford, as well as her great-grandchildren: Anthony, Riley, Brandalynn, and Helia. Helen is also survived by her step-children: Roger Ott, Chuck (Kathie) Ott, Chris (Cherie) Ott, and Cindy Malinowski.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her eight siblings, her husbands Robert Anderson Sr. and Charles Ott, her daughter Colleen Gosling, her granddaughters Jamie and Helen Kennedy, and her grandson Lucas Blaney.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Chaplain Bill Wisniewski at 6:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St., Ravenna, OH 44266. Final resting place will be Graham Cemetery in Southington.
