Heather Nicole Skinner

Heather was born in Ravenna, Ohio to parents Randal and Brenda (Blankenship) Leech on December 7, 1983. She was a resident of Rootstown, Ohio and most recently employed at Parker-Hannifin in Ravenna.

Heather was a loving wife and active mother to her two daughters. She enjoyed her involvement with the Portage County Steak Makers 4-H group and loved attending her girls’ softball games and watching her daughter show horses. Her family was most important to her and nothing made her happier than her family gatherings and dinners.

Heather is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Frank Skinner and her beautiful daughters Hannah Skinner and Morgan Skinner. Left also to cherish her memory is her mother and step-dad Brenda and Perry Rice, her brothers Shane (Teresa) Leech, Josh (Stephanie) Leech and stepsister Brittany (Mike Cary) Rice. Grandmothers Pat Blankenship, Evelyn Leech and in-laws Cliff and Beth Skinner also survive Heather. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-laws Mindy (Glenn) Gill, Nicole Skinner and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; her furry companions “Dozer” & “Koda” and her best friend Heidi Bailey.

Heather was preceded in death by her father Randal Leech, grandfathers James Leech, Dean Blankenship, great-grandparents Claude & Ellen Mathis, Dorothy Sexton and her cousin Haley Ward.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10am-12pm. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Simon Blankenship, will begin at 12pm. Friends are welcome to join the family immediately following the service for a time of fellowship at the Ravenna VFW, 6000 New Milford Rd., Ravenna.

Memorial donations to help her family and to offset final expenses would be greatly appreciated and can be made to Portage Community Bank, for the benefit of Mrs. Heather Skinner, 1311 E. Main St., Ravenna, Oh. 44266.
