He was born March 18, 1935, in Hessville, Ohio, to parents August and Anna (Hanson) Nowak. Harry was a devoted Christian and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He played the harmonica and was a member of a religious quartet band.
Harry worked in the trucking industry. He enjoyed gardening and took pride in his tomatoes and green beans. He will be remembered as a generous man with a giving spirit.
Harry was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Elouise (Hetrick) Nowak and his second wife Nataline Kay (Grandinette) Nowak, his daughters Peggy Irene Nowak and Christine Campbell, as well as his parents and his 13 siblings.
Harry is survived by his children: Dolores Ann (Chuck) Turner, Harry A. (Rebecca) Nowak, Marilyn (Perry) Kline, Larry (Luanne) Nowak, Garry (Robin) Nowak, Leah (Jack) Herman, Donna (Luke) Darrah, and Robin Rhinehart, along with 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and generations of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his step-children: Tim (Carrie) Simmons, Belinda Simmons and Trevor (Dana) Simmons, as well as all of his step-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received Friday, August 26, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the 10:30 AM funeral service at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.
