Grace B. Jones

She was born August 8, 1940, in Central City, Pennsylvania, to parents John G. and Florence (Bowser) Livengood. Grace was the youngest, and last surviving of the 12 Livengood children.

The Livengood family moved to Ravenna in the 1950’s, where Grace met and later married her beloved husband Albert “Al” Jones on June 21, 1958, and started their family. She was a dedicated employee with Portage County Visiting Nurse Service. Boots mainly worked as the scheduler until her retirement. After retirement, she cared for her husband when his health was declining.

Grace always loved hosting family dinners for the holidays. Later, she enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends at the Woodlands.

Grace is survived by her sons: Ed (Nora) Jones, John (Joyce) Jones, Jason Jones, and her grandchildren: Jeffrey, Nick, Alex, Crystal, Carly, and Taylor Jones, and Christopher Walker; as well as great-grandchildren: Christian and Chloe, and generations of loving nieces and nephews.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al Jones, her son Michael Jones, and her siblings: Carl, Oscar, Art, Paul, Harry, Anna, Charles, Betty, Gene, Martha, and Dixie.

Friends and family will be received Friday, January 19, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with funeral services held on Saturday, January 20th, at 11:00 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
