He was born April 27, 1918, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Lorenzo and Lucretia (Iammizzaro) Cariglio. George retired from Lane Upholstery in Kent in 1988. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII.
Survivors include his: son George (Liz) Cariglio Jr., daughter Mary Ann (Robert) Moyto, both of Edinburg; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also survived by his brother: Nunzio Cariglio and his sisters: Viola Jordan and Lillian Rothermel all of Ravenna.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann Mae (Fedorchak) Cariglio, his sister Mary, and his brothers Michael, Nick, and Joseph.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 21, 2010, from 2-5 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Monsignor Michael J. Cariglio Jr. on Monday at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be St. Mary Cemetery.
