Edward C. Swiger

Ed was born in Alliance, Ohio on October 7, 1950 to parents Arnett and Rosalie Swiger. He attended Akron University where he obtained a Master’s Degree and since 1976 enjoyed a career in teaching. Ed was currently teaching at Ravenna Christian School located at the Ravenna Assembly of God Church. Ed enjoyed his association with LifePointe Church in Atwater and his involvement there. He liked computers and loved to read western novels and watch westerns on T.V. Also of great interest to him were old cartoons, science fiction and comic books. Ed very much enjoyed taking his wife, his students and senior groups on day trips.

Ed is survived by his wife Linda (Mayberry) Swiger whom he married on July 23, 1994. Also surviving are his brothers: William (Diannah) Swiger & Patrick Swiger, step-mother Jin Swiger, brother & sister-in-law Ron and Kathy Mayberry and his Aunt Phyllis Linari. Left also to cherish his memory is his niece Kelita (John) Gehres, nephew Jeremy (Lindsay) Swiger, great nephew & niece Brady and Faith Gehres and many loving cousins.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will be received at LifePointe Church, 6498 Waterloo Rd., Atwater, Ohio 44201 on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday, February 27, from 10:00am until the 11:30am funeral service, officiated by Pastor Lee Kachner.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Edward’s name can be made to LifePointe Manna Project in care of LifePointe church and would be greatly appreciated.
