He was raised in the Tressler Orphans Home in Pennsylvania for the first 12 years of his life and then 6 years was spent with family before enlisting in the Army. He worked for the Ravenna School System for 40 years. First as a custodian and ended as the Building and Grounds Supervisor. After retiring he worked for 12 years as an inspector for Metropolitan Housing. He could and did repair anything for everybody. Sounds like all he did was work – that and playing Santa Claus were his hobbies.
