Diane "Dee Dee" G. (McConnell) Swaney

She was born September 24, 1961, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Michael and Velva “Grace” (Lender) McConnell. Diane was a very loving woman, who would do anything for anyone.

Dee Dee was a cook for many years at Bar 10, the English Pub, and the lunch counter at Triangle Pharmacy. She loved to bake and spend her free time with family.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother Stuart McConnell and her step-father Earl Shelly.

Surviving family members include her husband Michael J. Swaney, her son Michael Dylan Swaney, her sisters: Colleen (Steve) Cipriano, Marsha (Steve) Gannon, and Gloria (Ed) Brown, her in-laws: Joe (Janet), Paula (Jay), Denise (Mike), Cyndi (Bill), Nan, Kelly, and Stevie, as well as many loving nieces and nephews including Ondrea (Bill), Stephanie (Jason), Laura (Dustin), Crystal (June), Theresa (Robbie), Courtney (Timmy), Garth, Eddie, and Eli.

You have and always will be the best wife, mom, sister, and aunt! Your love carries on through all of us. Until we meet again xoxoxo.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with a remembrance service at 12:30 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St, Ravenna. It is required that everyone attending the services wear a mask and practice social distancing. The number of individuals permitted in the funeral home at any one time will be limited.
