She was born June 4, 1949, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents James Ray and Louise Wilma (Moore) Black. Diane graduated as the Salutatorian of Waterloo High School in 1967. She went on to work at Robinson Memorial Hospital for over 30 years, retiring as a data coordinator.
Diane was an avid reader and enjoyed butterflies. In her later years, began watching sports on TV. Her main joy in life came from her four grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her mother Louise Black, her daughters: Tiffany (John) Heeter and Tonya (Casey) Barker, her grandchildren: Christopher and Caitlynn Heeter, and Adam and Noah Barker, as well as her siblings: Susan Hadinger, Len Black, and Pam Black. She was preceded in death by her father James Black.
Diane’s wishes for cremation are being honored. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. It is required that everyone attending the services wear a mask and practice social distancing. The number of individuals permitted in the funeral home at any one time will be limited.
