Diane M. Gruca

She was born July 9, 1937, in Pasadena, California, to parents Attillio Nicholas and Josephine (Ballew) Lavaneri. Diane was a devoted member of the Wayland Community Church. She enjoyed bowling and quilting in her younger years. Diane also enjoyed puzzles and going on bus trips to casinos. She loved going on vacation and always made an annual trek to Las Vegas. She loved her dogs as well, especially her dachshunds.

Diane is survived by her children: Sharon (Glen) Gardner, Robert Braasch, Ronda (Gabriel) Picazo, Thomas Braasch, Donna Cox, Diana (Ed) Steinly, and Stacy (Charles Rider) Gruca, as well as all of her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stanley Gruca, her son Patrick Braasch, and her grandsons Tommy Bowles and Timmy Braasch.

Friends will be received Sunday, February 5, 2017, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor J. Thomas Holbrook on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Township.
