Dean Blankenship

He was born November 16, 1940, in Vansant, Virginia, to parents Dave and Ella (West) Blankenship. Dean retired from White Rubber in Ravenna in 2008. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Dean was proud of his garden and delighted in sharing its harvest with family and friends.

On October 15, 1960, Dean married his beloved Patricia (Price), and raised three children together, Rob (Sherry) Blankenship, Brenda (Perry) Rice, and Mike Blankenship. Dean is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Azeal, Beatrice, and Josephine, his brother Boyd, his half-brother Sam, and his daughter-in-law Mary.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with a funeral service following at 6:00 PM officiated by Dean’s nephew, Pastor Simon Blankenship, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E.
