David was born in Ravenna, Ohio to parents David and Sharon (Gregory) Skidmore on February 5, 1973. He graduated from Southeast High School and Maplewood JVS (Carpentry) with the class of 1991. He was employed as the Quality Assurance Lab Manager at Polymerics Co. in Cuyahoga Falls. David enjoyed hunting, camping, photography and a lover of all music. He always had music playing and even most recently at the care center where all of the staff loved to hear his playlists. He also liked NASCAR racing, Dale Earnhardt his favorite driver and he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. David had a fantastic sense of humor that kept everyone in “stitches” but was most important in his life was his love of family and friends.
David is survived by his parents, his brother Clint Skidmore and his beloved dog “Daisy”. He also leaves his aunt Dianne (Bill) Beans, uncles: Homer (Nancy) Gregory, Frank (Candy) Gregory, Terry Gregory. Also left to cherish his memory are his nieces and nephews CJ Skidmore, Robbie (Sierra) Skidmore, Xavier Cowles, Makayla Deloach, Makenzie Deloach and Becca Shackelford.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents: Granville and Toni (Hess) Skidmore, Homer and Mildred (Heavner) Gregory, uncles Gene Skidmore and Robert Gregory and his great-niece Olivia Erin Skidmore.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm with a Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor David Ballert, beginning at 6:00pm. It is required that everyone attending visitation and service wear a mask and practice social distancing. The family certainly understands if you do not feel comfortable with attending due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
