He was born October 20, 1961, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Edward and Joy (Ahrens) Fejedelem, and grew up in Shalersville. Dan graduated from Crestwood High School in 1980. Right out of high school, he was started working at LafargeHolcim where he worked for 42 years. He started as a manual laborer, then moved to Equipment Operator and other positions in the field. Finally he found a home in the corporate office as Manufacturing Process Analyst.
Dan was a very hardworking, thoughtful, and loyal person. He always went above and beyond to make people feel comfortable and to help others. He was a prideful man in the life that he had created for himself and his family.
As a favorite hobby, you would find Dan watching or following sports. Dan LOVED sports. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavs, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Dan also enjoyed following local high school sports, especially the Ravenna Ravens. Dan was very proud of both his sons and their passion for sports and attended all of their games.
Dan was quite the cook as well. He had a way around the kitchen and grill. He was known for his pizza, cabbage rolls, and spaghetti. He loved to put on spreads for the holidays and took special requests for his loved ones on their birthdays.
Dan is survived by his dedicated wife Pamela, who he married May 26, 2008. He is also survived by his beloved sons: Michael Edward (Kristin) and Stephen William (Dana), his grandchildren: Mason and Annie, his sisters: Debbie (Zane) McFrederick and Diane (Archie) Hess, his brother David (Tammy), along with many loving nieces and nephews.
His wishes for cremation are being honored. Dan will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville. A celebration of life and time of fellowship will take place on a later date.
