She was born July 4, 1943, in Kankakee, Illinois, daughter of the late John and Dolores (Linn) Strumbel. Cory grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Presbyterian -University Hospital School in Pittsburgh. She went on to have a long career as a pediatric nurse. Above all, she was a loving mother and proud grandmother.
Cory enjoyed playing board games and cards with family and friends. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and delighted in dressing up for different holidays. She also enjoyed taking day trips with friends, choosing many regional destinations to view the fall foliage or covered bridges.
Coralin is survived by her sons: Jim, his wife Stacy, and their children Cameron and Ryan Semancik and Tom, his wife Dawn and their daughter Ella Semancik, as well as many loving extended family members including her cousin Evelyn Poklar.
Coralin’s wishes for cremation are being honored. A private family service will be held and her final resting place will be All Saints Cemetery in Northfield. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
