Charles A. Brantley

He was born September 11, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, to parents Charles Andrew and Johnnie (Bradford) Brantley. Charles was a well accomplished man who loved education, and never stopped learning. He was a member of the Flying Diamonds Motorcycle Club and also was an avid swimmer.

Charles is survived by his children: Christopher Brantley, Chenita Brantley, Celena Brantley, Charles A. Brantley III, and Carlotta Brantley, Renee Brantley, as well as his grandchildren: Jalana (Anthony) Davis, Raven Reed, Jervale Reed, Raphael White, Gabrielle White, Phoenix White, Brooklyn White, Imani Brantley, Christopher Brantley, Kiarra Lewis, Brierre Brantley, Demetri Brantley, Xavier Brantley, and Ryder Perkins. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Kennedy Davis, Kaiden Reed, Payton Reed, Amare Davis, Ava Hamilton, and Caiden Brantley, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Charlotte Brantley, his brother Morgan, and his sister Regina.

Charles’ wishes for cremation are being honored and a memorial service will be held on a later date in Detroit.
