Carolyn Louise Steele

Carolyn was born in Diamond, Ohio on April 20, 1938 to parents Dorphy W. and Anna Sickle. She was a very loving person who loved her grandchildren- they were her life. She enjoyed her work in day care and driving a school bus and loved to shop and buy things for everybody. Carolyn also enjoyed writing letters. Earlier in life she was active with the Palmyra Fire Department.

Surviving Carolyn is her son, Randy Steele. She also leaves her grandchildren: Jonathon Steele, Derek Steele, Russell Steele, Jr. and Lucy Steele. Surviving also is her mother-in-law, Anna Steele, Brother and Sisters-in-law: Pete (Carol) Steele, Patricia “Patsy” (Jim) Fox and Mary (Tom) King, and daughter-in-law, Paula Steele. Carolyn will also be sadly missed by her special friend and caregiver, Brenda Gay.

Preceding Carolyn in death were her parents, her husband, Charles L. Steele, her son, Russell D. Steele and her grandson, Albert W. Steele.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11:00am until the 12:00 pm funeral service officiated by Pastor Dan Tayman of Crossroads Hospice at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at West Cemetery in Palmyra.
