Carol Lou Stevens

She was born January 24, 1943, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Denver and Madge (Gibson) Fluharty. Carol was devoted to God and her family. She was a dedicated member of New Testament Baptist Church, taught Sunday school, and loved cooking for her family.

She also worked at Colonial Rubber for over 20 years. Carol was a talented seamstress and taught classes at the old Singer store in Ravenna. She liked crafting, gardening, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Carol is survived by her children: Debbie Rerko, Jimmy (Jenn) Stevens Robert “Bob” Stevens Jr., Bryan (Donna) Stevens, and Shawn Stevens. Grandma’s memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Natalie, Caleb, Ethan, Heather, Sarah, Heather, and Robby.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert “Bob” Stevens Sr., and her sister Betty.

Friends and family will be received Monday, September 11, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, Sept. 12th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the New Testament Baptist Church, 3583 State Route 59, Ravenna, with funeral services officiated by Pastor Bob Burgess at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
