Carol is survived by her sisters, Jean Grady and Joni (Jack) Kubec; her nieces and nephews, Laura Fudella Sayre, John (Jena) Fudella, Michael (Kate) Kubec, Kevin (Stephanie) Kubec, Melody Grady Lyons (Christopher).
Besides her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her brother, John Fudella.
Carol grew up in Maple Heights, Ohio, and graduated from the Central School of Practical Nursing. She was a lifelong nurse and considered her work as a hospice nurse the epitome of her career. Her last nursing assignment was with Harbor Light Hospice, where she was a visiting hospice nurse. Although she never married or had children of her own, she was a loving partner to Andrew "Butch" Selep for over 30 years, and was a loving stepmom to Jason Bennison. She was well-loved for her fun-loving and caring nature. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and teaching others to create exquisite handmade greeting cards. She was known as a great cook and prolific maker of jams and jellies. Carol struggled with health issues the last few years of her life but was fully alive until the day she passed. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at 5:30PM on Sunday, April 27, at Renaissance Unity Church, 4853 Galaxy Parkway, Warrensville Hts., Ohio. friends may call from 4:00PM to 5:30PM
