She was born July 2, 1935, in Commodore, Pennsylvania, to parents Charles and Olive (Bash) Long. Betty lived in Edinburg until 1976, then moved to Ravenna.
She loved watching the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers. Betty enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She would often make gifts for her children and grandchildren, as well as blankets and hats for the homeless.
Betty was an avid reader. She was a member of Portage Community Church, the Portage County Historical Society, Red Hats, and Cocoons Sewing Group. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Lynch, her son Charles Lynch, her daughter Darlene Scarlett, her great-granddaughter Alexis Moore, and her sister Lois Mariana.
Betty will be sadly missed by her children: Brenda (Mike Yanovich) Lane, Dennis Lynch, Christine (Waide) Montgomery, Adrienne Moore, and Dwayne (Beth) Lynch, as well as her brother Adelbert Long. Her memory will also be cherished by all of her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
