Becky (Soldorfen) Brumley

Rebecca Ann Brumley, age 48 of Ravenna, passed away after a long & courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer on Friday, December 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Becky was born January 26, 1974, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents George and Judy (Oprea) Soldorfen. She graduated from Ravenna High School in 1992 and in 2010 earned a nursing degree from Bohecker College. Becky was a hardworking & compassionate nurse who would go above and beyond for her patients’, coworkers and anyone who may be in need.

If you knew Becky, you knew family always came first and you didn’t have to be blood to be considered family. She always told her honest opinion despite her audience. She was a loving mother, proud gigi, caring sister, devoted daughter, and dear friend to many. Becky tried to live life to its fullest and enjoyed having a good time. She was a member of the Ravenna Elks Lodge, Ravenna Eagles, and former member of the Italian American Society. She loved the beach, watching her kids play sports, tailgating, Sunday dinners and overall a good time with loved ones.

Becky is survived by her mother Judy Soldorfen, her loving partner Lamar “Boomer” Shipp, her sister Julianne (Raju) Srirama, and her brother Gregg Soldorfen. Becky also leaves behind her children: Dréshon, Drék, Keatton, and Katie Brumley, as well as her grandchildren: Maddie Lue, Tilly Moster, Micah Man, Kilah Rebecca, and little Georgie who is expected in March. She is also survived by many dear friends, extended family members, and her special cousins Denise and Nick Ramos.

Becky was preceded in death by her father George Soldorfen, her grandmother Lucretia (Katie) Oprea, and her best friend Tracy Gombeda.

Her wishes for cremation are being honored. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Ravenna Elks Lodge, 776 N. Freedom St., Ravenna. Friends and family will be received from 4:00 – 5:00 PM with a memorial service at 5:00 PM. A time of fellowship will follow.
