Barbara Ann Soltis

Barbara Ann Soltis, age 70 of Randolph, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Robinson Memorial Hospital.She was born May 30, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carmen and Eloise (Dalbey) Pachell. Barbara was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Suffield. She worked at Mettles and Evergreen greenhouses and Country Spirit Florist throughout the years, and most recently was the superintendant of canned goods at the Portage County Randolph Fair. Barbara belonged to the Early Ford V-8 Club and also was a member of a garden club and a card club with seven of her closest friends.Survivors include her husband of 45 years Bill Soltis; her children: Debbie (Russ) Heeter of Atwater and Bill P. Soltis of Randolph; grandchildren: Russell (Brooke) Heeter and Angela (John) Biglin; great-grandchildren: Joe and Mallory Heeter and Garrett and Kyleigh Biglin; nephew: Bobby (Candi) Ashley; also survived by Robert and Ruth Luth and Roberta (Bill) Frost.She was preceded in death by her father Robert Ashley, her daughter Michelle “Missy” Soltis, and her brother Robert Ashley.Friends will be received Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore.
