Barbara Ann Rice

She was born December 15, 1939, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to parents Paul and Helen (Hutchison) Harshman.

Barbara attended Alliance High School. She studied nursing in Salem, Ohio, and worked in Canton, Ohio, at Timken Mercy Hospital where she met her husband, Theodore D. Rice. They were married on June 13, 1964, at the East Canton Church of God.

Survivors include her husband Theodore Rice, children: Michelle R. (Thad) Hardman of Deerfield, Ohio, Dan Rice of Alliance, Ohio, and Randy (Mary) Rice of Atwater, Ohio; grandchildren: Angel (Doug) Primm of Columbus, Ohio, Amy (John) Gilbert of Lenoir, North Carolina, Andrew Hardman of Deerfield, and Bethany Rice of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, as well as her great-grandchild Zinnia Primm of Columbus, Ohio.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Tom Harshman of Canton, Ohio.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, October 21, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Rabbi Michael Humphrey on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at West Cemetery in Palmyra Township. All guests must wear a facial mask and practice social distancing.
