Ann Troyer, 93, of Randolph, OH passed away December 23, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Randolph, Ohio to Hugo and Catherine Brown, who preceded her in death.
Ann grew up on the Brown family farm and graduated from Randolph High School in 1938. She was proud to aid in the war effort by working as a quality inspector of Corsair aircraft as a civilian employee of the US Navy at Goodyear Aerospace.
Ann married Frank Troyer June 17, 1944. Ann and Frank raised a family of four children and their household was one filled with love and joy. Ann was a gentle, quiet, strong, faith-filled and loving woman and her family was her priority. Ann was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish in Randolph and attended daily Mass. She regularly prayed the rosary, enjoyed her service as a Eucharistic minister to the home-bound and hosted a weekly prayer group of dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by Frank, her beloved husband of 55 years, her siblings Katherine (Joseph) Bormet, Mary (Frank) Weinhart and John Brown. She is survived by her children Richard (Cathy), Maryann (John) Devlin, William (Patricia), Robert, and her granddaughter Megan Troyer. She is also survived by her sister Helen (Tony) Heppe and many beloved nieces and nephews and their offspring.
Friends will be received on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 East Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Reverend Thomas Acker, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 27th, at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, Ohio 44260. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
