Anita was born in Ravenna, Ohio on December 3rd, 1970 to Margaret (Miller) Nicholas and Randal Nicholas Sr.
Anita enjoyed spending time with family, whether it was drag races, concerts, or just sitting around. She was the best conversationalist no matter the topic and could spend hours talking with anyone. She enjoyed the thrill of a good auction and was a compassionate animal lover who always had pets and saved wild animals more than a few times. She was a warrior, an organ recipient, and an organ donor.
Anita leaves her husband Todd Gross, daughters Heather (Matt) Douglas and Amber (Tom) Hirst-Parsons, step-daughter Julie Gross, and grandchildren Aaliyah Douglas, Orion Proudfoot, Iliana Parsons, Kenzie and Kora Huth.
Siblings Faithe Hoschar, Parthina Deuley, Randal “Randy” Nicholas Jr., Brian Nicholas, and Kayalta Nicholas as well as many family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Anita was proceeded in death by daughters Tiffany and Angela Proudfoot, Mother Margaret, Father Randal, Mother-in-Law Shirley, and Father-in-Law Gerald.
Friends and family will be received from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Monday, the 27th of November, 2023, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St, Ravenna, Ohio. Memorial service, officiated by Charles Rhinehart, will begin at 6pm.
