God sent you briefly, our dear angel, Allison. You never made it into our world as you were born asleep. There are no accomplishments to celebrate, no sense of a long life lived to the fullest, only the pain and the empty ache that you were taken from us way too soon.
“Your tiny little feet so tiny and so small,
Those tiny little feet never touched the ground at all.
Not one tiny foot print, for now she has wings,
These tiny footprints were meant for other things.
We will hear her tiny footprints in the patter of the rain,
Gentle drops like angel’s tears of joy and not from pain.
We will see her tiny footprints in each butterflies lazy dance,
She’ll let us know she’s with us if we just give her the chance.
We will hear her tiny footprints in the rustle of the leaves,
And hear her whisper to us, all of us who grieves.
Most of all, her tiny footprints are found on Mommy and Daddy’s heart,
Cause even though she is gone now, we’ll never truly part.”
We loved before we saw you and will never forget you.
Left to grieve with an empty hole in their heart is Mommy; Nicole McElwain, Daddy; Todd Beckett, Grandparents; Tracie and Kevin Wiley, Tammy and Michael Beckett, Jackie and Terry Taylor. Also surviving are great grandparents; Barbara and Jack Rogers and great-granny Gayle McElwain. Also so many aunts, uncles, and cousins and lots of caring friends.
Allison was preceded in death by great-grandparents:Jim McElwain and Roger and Pauline Beckett.
God wanted you with Him, we don’t understand, but he cares for us all, we’re all in His plan. Some day we’ll be with you and see you one day,
we know you are just an angel’s wing away.
