Alan Anderson

Alan was born on November 29, 1947 in Millersburg, Ohio to parents Herbert Anderson and JoAnn (Schmid) Anderson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired after 44 years of service minding the pizza oven at Guido’s in Ravenna. Alan had been a member of the Ravenna VFW and Ravenna Eagles Club. He enjoyed playing board games and watching TV, especially old western classics. Alan was a big Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed his Miller Lite beer.

Alan is survived by his mother Martha Joan Croop and siblings Frank Anderson, Becky (Sandy) Croop, John (Karen) Croop and Bill (Dawn Zolgus) Croop. Alan is also survived by his nieces Telsa (Anthony Drago) Croop, Jensen Croop and nephew Colin Croop.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-dad Vernon J. Croop.

Graveside memorial service, officiated by Pastor Gary Beck, will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Grandview Memorial Park. Inurnment will follow.

Alan’s family would like to thank everyone at Longmeadow Care Center for your gracious and loving care given to Alan.
