William “Bill” Pollard, 62, died January 19, 2019 after a brief illness. Born September 26, 1956 he was a son of the late Joe and Marian Pollard of Raleigh, who provided a nurturing and loving family life. Bill was also blessed to have a great “work” family at Charles River Laboratories in Raleigh where he was employed for over 30 years. Members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church were a constant source of loving guidance and friendship to Bill all his adult life. Blessings and love surrounded this kind, gentle, giving man his entire earthly life and he now knows the full peace of heaven.
He is survived by a brother, Joe Pollard (Jan) of Greenville, South Carolina; nephews Kevin Pollard of Greenville, SC, and Lock Pollard of Atlanta, GA and niece Caroline Pollard of Boulder, CO. Other surviving family are an aunt Katherine West (Tommy) of Granville County, and uncles Vernard King of Oxford and Curtis King of Franklin County.
The family will receive friends at 10:30 am Friday January 25th, 2019 at St Mark’s Episcopal Church, with the funeral service at 11:00 am at the church and committal service at Raleigh Memorial Park on Glenwood Avenue to follow.
