Walter L. Tucker Jr., 89, died November 2, 2010 in Raleigh, NC. He was born and raised in Norfolk, VA, the son of Walter and Eva Mae Tucker. He was employed with Hall-Hodges Company, retiring in 1986 as company president. He enjoyed sailing and golf, and was an active member of Eastern Shore Chapel and Virginia Beach United Methodist Church. Walter was also a member of the Princess Anne Country Club.
He is preceded in death by two wives, Marian W. Tucker, who died in 1989, and Sally Sutton, who died in 2003. He is survived by three children, Thomas R. Tucker of Lancaster, PA, Beverly T. Henderson of Bedford, VA and Walter L. “Chip” Tucker, III of Annapolis, MD; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
