Vickie Marie Winders, 64, passed away after a prolonged illness, on the 24th of June 2014, at the SECU Hospice House of Smithfield, North Carolina. She was born on the 9th of October, 1949, to Robert Hansley and Roberta Abbot Hansley. Vickie enlisted and served our country as a Marine for three years. She eventually retired from Amica Insurance Company of North Carolina after 27 years of employment.
Vickie is survived by her husband Tom G. Winders of Clayton, NC, her step-children, Dawn Burley and Brian Winders and Countless family members who love her.
Vickie lived her life as a Marine does. Never yielding to a challenge and always faithful (Semper Fidelis).
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday July 2nd, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609.
