Susan Su Hsien Wu

Susan Su Hsien Wu, (Mom or A-ma) of Raleigh, NC, woke up to meet Jesus on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born in 1944, in Beijing, China, the 3rd daughter and 4th (of 5 children) of a doctor and his wife. She always wanted to be a mother, having a daughter, Sarah, and son, Theodore, with her husband, Benjamin Wu, of 54 years. She was actively involved in Evangelical Formosan Church-North Carolina (EFC-NC) and a local Taiwanese E-Hiker club. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Wu, daughter, Sarah Wu, and son, Theodore Wu and his family, including wife, Amy, and children, Cosette, Audrey, Joseph, and Tessa. If you asked about what she needed in life, she’d say, “I’m fine.” She was generous with her time. She didn’t want to be a burden to anyone but sought to make sure everyone was included. She loved singing and hiking with her friends.

Family and friends were invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612), on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Evangelical Formosan Church of North Carolina.
