Born on September 6, 1959 in Raleigh, NC, Steve was a graduate of Sanderson High School and Appalachian State University. He was a huge basketball fan and played on both high school and college levels, as well as in numerous leagues throughout his life. He was a rabid Duke, Boston Celtics and Red Sox fan. He loved gardening and music, but his greatest passion in life was people. Steve loved his family immensely and made everyone he met feel loved and important. His compassion, infectious smile and unique sense of humor will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 14 at St. Paul’s Christian Church, 3331 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh NC. A reception will follow the ceremony in the fellowship hall.
Steve was loved by many people - all of whom feel a huge void in their hearts. But he leaves an amazing legacy, and heaven has gained a faithful, loving angel.
