Lynn, it was with great sorry we heard of Steve's passing.  You could not have chosen a finer man to share yours and the children lives with.

Each time we were with the family we could see the love you shared. When we were with the children they shared the goodness of Steve with us. We were so sorry our illness kept us away this week. Steve was the best -- a great father, a caring husband, son and brother, and a true friend. He will be greatly missed. But the joy he carried with him lives on in you and the family you raised so well. We will remember Steve's sense of humor and optimism. When I think about his smile I can't help but smile too. I went to school from elementary to highschool with Steve. He was such a sweet, caring friend to everyone. I recall one particular incident where I was hit with a softball during recess and Steve came running up to me to show his concern and make sure I was ok :) I'm sure he carried that same special character trait throughout the rest of his adult life so I know his family and friends were truly blessed to have him in their lives. Lynn, I was shocked and saddened to read about Steve in the paper. He was a great father and family man who always had a big smile on his face.  That's my memory of him! I had no idea he had been sick.  Prayers for and the kids - I would like to stop by to see you.  Please stay strong...I'm sure you have a great church family that will be there for you.

I have many great memories of Steve from my days as a youth at St. James. Steve was a wonderful man, always kind and thoughtful.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

I remember when Steve & Lynn were dating & involved greatly with the church & the youth group there.  They lived in my neighborhood & the kids were on the Brentwood swim team together for awhile. Steve had a natural grace in such a tough, demanding industry.  I frequently would tap into his vast knowledge of the business. He would always be patient and give me his time to make sure I understood even though he had overwhelming workload for himself.  Among many of his qualities, I will forever remember him singing “Mamma's little baby loves shortnin', shortnin' Mamma's little baby loves shortnin' bread”  from across the hall.  He will never be forgotten and certainly left his mark upon me.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I remember Steve from his youth (I was a good friend of his dad) and was so saddened to hear of his passing.  I know the angels took him to heaven and laid him in Jesus' arms.  What a wonderful homecoming!  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
