Steven Harold Caulberg, 54, of Raleigh, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 7th, 2014. Steve was born in Raleigh on September 13th, 1959. He was a member of Crossroads Fellowship.
Steve was a man with many passions. Following in his fathers footsteps, Steve worked at Ready Mixed Concrete Company for 32 years. He was passionate about sports and he loved watching the N.C. State Wolfpack, Carolina Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes. His love of sports was not just confined to watching, as he enjoyed being outdoors playing golf or fishing on every family beach trip. Steve enjoyed playing the guitar, refining his God given talent and teaching several of his children the instrument.
The greatest love of Steve’s life was his family. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Caulberg; sons, Mike Davey and Ben Davey; daughters, Lauren Caulberg, Lizzie Davey and Sami Caulberg; mother, Marlene Guthrie (Edward); and his sisters, Cindy Steadman (David) and Melissa Plyler (Lance). Steve was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Caulberg.
His family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh NC 27609, Thursday April 10th, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM, and the family invites you to wear your favorite sports clothing. The funeral service will be held at Crossroads Fellowship, 2721 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh NC 27604 on Friday April 11th, 2014 at 1:00 PM . Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Samaritans Purse or the Duke Cancer Center, in Steve’s name.
