Stephen Mark Schmidt

Mark was a loving father to his three children and a kind son. He was an avid Carolina fan and enjoyed any opportunity to root them on. Mark also enjoyed his employment with the EPA as a Statistician for many years.

Mark is survived by his wife, Kris Jenkins Schmidt of Apex, NC; daughter, Alexandria Schmidt of Greenville, NC; and sons, Thomas Elijah Schmidt and Greyson both of the home; mother, Carol Schmidt of Boca Raton, FL; brother, David Michael Schmidt (Donna) of Charlotte, NC; and other loving family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Following services, the family will gather at 4:30 pm at The Adventure Christian Church, 201 Meadow Dr., Fuquay Varina, for Reception. A private burial in Raleigh Memorial Park will follow at a later time.
