Sharon Taylor Dean

Sharon was born February 23, 1957 in Raleigh, NC. She was a 1975 graduate of Enloe High School and a 1979 graduate of North Carolina State University School of Design. Sharon was employed as a freelance graphic artist as well as having worked for several agencies in the triangle area. She was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Ripley Urquhart Taylor.

She is survived by husband, Larry T. Dean; son, Graham Taylor Dean of Raleigh; mother, Odelia Barber Taylor of Raleigh; sister, Delia Brown and her husband, Greg of Mechanicsville, VA; brothers, Russell Taylor and his wife, Christy of Boone, NC; and Greg Taylor and his wife, Barbara of Raleigh; as well as seven nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 30, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church, Six Forks Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her son’s scholarship fund. Contributions can be sent to “The Graham Dean Scholarship Fund”, c/o Fidelity Bank, 5712 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC 27612.
