Scott grew up in Raleigh and graduated from Sanderson High School in 1980, where he was a competitive member of the track team. Scott was also an avid fan of the UNC Tar Heels. He was the owner and operator of Cable's Frame House in Raleigh, which his father, Bill Cable, opened in 1981.
He is survived by his wife Annette Cable and their sons, Lucas and Jake Cable; his brother-in-law, Willard Goley Ross and his niece, Hannah Ross Clarke (Jeff).
He was predeceased by his parents, Janette Wall Cable and William Charles Cable; brother, Stephen Charles Cable and his sister, Susan Cable Ross.
A memorial service for Scott will be held Sunday, January 12th at 2:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC.
