She was born on March 12, 1935, in Perry, Georgia, beloved daughter of the late Clifford and Lyla Shepard.
Sarah attended Lake Worth High in Florida and married her high school sweetheart, Gene, in 1955. She had a love of sewing, gardening, genealogy and Biblical Archaeology.
She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Julie Kuhar of Atlanta, GA, Jackie Campbell and husband Mike of Englewood, CO, and Michelle Kuhar and Jim Haddad, of Hinesburg, VT. She will also be deeply missed by her sister Mae Kelly and husband Don of Florida; grandchildren, Jeffrey White and Carson Campbell; and great granddaughter, Samantha White.
A funeral service for Sarah was held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
