Ruby Kitts McMillan, 96, passed away on March 24, 2016. Born to the late Martin and Leota Kitts on April 9, 1919 in Bland Co., VA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph McMillan, Sr., two sisters and a brother; and son-in-law, Hilliard Harris Kearney. Ruby is survived by her son, Thomas Joseph McMillan, Jr. and daughter, Susan McMillan Kearney; sister, Opal Kitts Johnston, a special nephew and several nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
