Rebecca Champion Hedrick

Rebecca was born in Henderson, NC, on August 2, 1946, and was a graduate of Henderson High School, The Medical College of Virginia, and North Carolina State University. She was married to Michael D. Hedrick and they shared forty-four years of an amazing life together. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, her pets, traveling, and working in her garden greenhouse. She dearly loved being a grandmother, and could often be heard bragging about her grandchildren to whomever would listen. She is survived by her husband, Michael, her daughter, Shannon Heath (Brian Heath), and grandsons, Kieran and Liam Smith.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on August 27, 2022, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home at 1701 E. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC. Dr. David J. Hailey of Hayes Barton Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be immediately preceding the celebration, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
