The son of Glenn and Amy Morris Stoker he was a proud member of the class of 49er’s from Homer Central High where he was very active in sports. He was a 50+ years Loyal Order of Moose member.
Dad was the proud patriarch of 5 generations who loved getting together with family & friends. He enjoyed golf, bowling and pitch parties. In 1950 he married Jean Lintern and even though they divorced he loved her until she passed in April.
He is survived by daughters Donna & Paula Burns (Tom), son Christopher, grandson Jeffrey, great granddaughter Sydney, great-great granddaughter twins Luna and Quinn, In-Laws Agnes DiLucci, Dwight Short, Greg Burton, and nieces, nephews & cousins.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Lisa Stoker Burton, his “Stoke” brothers Ross, Robert, Morris and Floyd and cousins. While living in Daytona Beach he became friends with Helen Jelm, her family and friends and because of this group he was made honorary member of both the VFW (Posts 1590 in Daytona Beach & 3282 in Port Orange) and American Legion. He loved his country and proudly displayed the American Flag & Eagle. Prior he was operator of Paul’s Texico in Homer, years at Brockway and various other positions in NY & Florida. As a teen he spent summers working on the Morris Homestead farm in Bear Swamp area.
