Nancy Clifton Wheeler, 66, of Raleigh, NC went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 19, 2013 concluding her courageous journey with ALS. She was a loving wife to husband, Don, a devoted mother to daughter, Leigh Anne Frahm, a beloved grandmother to her precious granddaughter, Emma Catherine Frahm, a special mother-in-law to Andrew David Frahm, and a dear friend to so many. She was preceded in death by her parents John O. and Helen Clifton of Faison, NC.
Her heritage extends from her farming community roots in Sampson County, Hobbton High School graduation, continuing education at Wake Technical Community College, to professional administrator to triangle area corporate plant managers, presidents, and CEOs.
Nancy’s legacy is personified by the lives she touched by her compassion and love for others and the footprints she left on their hearts. She will forever be in our hearts.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609, 919-876-6900.
A celebration of Nancy’s life and home going will be Monday, July 29, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Providence Baptist Church, 6339 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612, 919-326-3000 with Pastor Ricky Mill officiating. A family and friends gathering will follow in the church fellowship hall.
