Nancy Sue Cox

Nancy was born June 15, 1953 in Galion, Ohio, to the late Kathleen Dixon and John Williams. She relocated to Raleigh in 1983, where along with husband and family, owned and operated the Animal Quacker Toy Stores. She was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church, as well as the Raleigh Does, Lodge 735, where she was known for her cooking and hospitality.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Cox; son, Chad Cox, and his wife, Allison, of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Kiersten, Kendall and Tyler Cox, Kyle and Chase McKinley; sister, Barbara Williams of Galion, OH; brothers, Mike Williams, and his wife, Marty, Harold Williams, and his wife, Jody, of Galion, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie; sister, Pat Williams; and her brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Williams.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, with Pastor Michael Yarborough officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm.
