Nancy Ellen Capps, 68, of Raleigh, NC died Friday in her home after a long battle with cancer. A professional librarian until her retirement in 2004, she received degrees from Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill. A life-long reader, writer and beach-lover, she is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Ted and Jane Craddock of High Point, NC; a daughter, Christine Harrison Grant and a son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennifer Harrison, both of Raleigh, NC; a grandson, Charles Worth Harrison; two nieces; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Raleigh Memorial Park followed by a reception at Mitchell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Wake County, COPE Eldercare, or the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
