Myrna Ames Brown

She is survived by her husband of over 57 years, Cecil Kenneth Brown Jr. Two daughters, Carolyn B. Stewart of New Bern, NC and Laura B. DiGirolamo of Raleigh, NC, also survive her. Myrna was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Her daughter, Katherine B. Bathurst, predeceased her.

She was a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and the family has many fond memories of visits there, which always held a special place in her heart.

She was a great lover of birds and all types of animals making it her mission to see they were well looked after. In addition she enjoyed crafts, sewing and gardening.

Myrna also enjoyed traveling with her family and enjoyed several trips to Europe and the American West. Her life was devoted to her family and her loss will be greatly felt by her family and all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3120 New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC.
