Michelle Katherine Pettis

Michelle Katherine Pettis (aka: Mickey) was born on October 28, 1973 in Fairfax VA. Michelle was employed by Fairfax County Public Schools in Northern Virginia as a special needs bus driver and found great joy and purpose in that position/calling.

Michelle accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age after attending a Carl Hatch revival. She joined Mid-Way Baptist Church after moving from Northern Virginia where she quickly embraced the “Southern Charm”. She loved volunteering for whatever event was taking place. She was caring and kind spirited.

Her other interests were traveling to the coast, Disney World, animals/rescue organizations, spending time with family, friends, and beloved dog Rusty.

She is survived by her parents…a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Michelle leaves a legacy of precious and everlasting memories to be cherished by all that new and loved her so much.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 11 from 11:00-12:45pm, with funeral beginning at 1:00pm, at Mid-Way Baptist Church, 6910 Fayetteville St., Raleigh. Entombment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
