Meredith Margaret Lee

Meredith Margaret Lee, 22, beloved daughter of Alan W. and Nancy J. Lee and sister of Brandon Lee, passed away on September 30, 2014 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Wilma Cordaro, Leland and Margaret Lee, great aunt Miss Elizabeth Yarbrough and aunt Rebecca Lee. She is survived by her brother Brandon T. Lee, aunt and uncle Lynn and Scott Brogan, uncle and cousin Marc Paul Lee and Derek Lee, great-aunt Miss Dorothy Yarbrough, and as well as many cousins.

Having Cerebral Palsy, Meredith endured many health problems and hospitalizations during her life. She had a determined spirit in an uncooperative body; despite her limitations she had a life filled with pleasures and many caring people. A student of Wake County Public School System, and as a 10 year resident of the Tammy Lynn Center of Developmental Disabilities, Meredith grew and thrived, learning to be independent while gaining the love and respect to those around her.

Words cannot express the respect and gratitude of Meredith's family for Tammy Lynn Center staff. A gift to those who met her, she brought many devoted and caring people in her orbit. While her departure leaves a large void in the hearts of her loved ones, she will be singing and dancing with her family in Heaven.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Wake Medical Cardiac Intensive Unit for their care and compassion they had for Meredith.

A memorial service will be held at the Tammy Lynn Center on Sunday October 12th a 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, 739 Chappell Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606.
