Our sweet, courageous and extraordinarily loved Mason gained has his angel wings. He is our superhero. He fought right up until his peaceful last breath, with mommy and daddy holding him, kissing him and telling him over and over how much we love him.
Mason was a kind and gentle soul. He lived a short, but extremely full life. He loved playing outside, riding his golf cart, jumping on trampolines, tae Kwon do, and playing with his dear friends. He was creative and so smart. He did great in school. He loved helping daddy with home projects and fixing cars. He enjoyed running RC cars, doing crafts, and constructing with legos. He had an eclectic taste in music, and loved dance parties with glow sticks. He was a little bit of a homebody and his true happy place was on his couch, watching cartoons or a movie with mommy and daddy while munching on popcorn.
He was a collector - sticks, rocks, gems, seashells and fishing lures filled multiple containers in his room. He had an impressive stuffed animal collection which continued to grow while going through treatment at St. Jude.
He loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his Bma and Papa, his Grammy, his Bpa and DeeDee, his aunts and uncles, and most of all his cousins Burke and Sadie. We have so many wonderful memories of cousin play dates, cheerful holidays and super fun sleepovers.
Although we miss him more than words can express, knowing that he is not suffering anymore helps to bring us a little peace. He is with Jesus, happy and finally able to be a kid again. We feel blessed that God let us borrow that precious angel, even though he was called home way too soon.
Mason gave us the best years of our lives. He was our heart. He will continue to be our biggest inspiration, and will always be a part of us ♥️
There will be a brief graveside service Saturday at 4:30p at Raleigh Memorial Park. A larger Celebration of Mason’s Life will be held at a later date, details to follow.
