Mary Leatha Norwood

In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her brothers; Thomas L. Norwood of Raleigh, NC, Wiley Davis Norwood of Sanford, NC, William C. Norwood of Raleigh, NC and sisters; Blanche Briggs and husband Edward of Raleigh, NC, Frances Francis and husband Edward of Knoxville, TN as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.

She is survived by her brother Hubert L. Norwood of Raleigh, NC and nephews; Jimmy and Don Francis of Knoxville, TN, Bobby and Kenney Norwood of Sanford, NC, and James Edward Briggs of Raleigh, NC.

Mary, a Raleigh native, dedicated her life to Jehovah on February 20, 1951 and served him faithfully for over 68 years. She was known for her appreciation of Jehovah’s creative works and loved to work with the earth to harvest delicious fruits and vegetables. She also appreciated working in the greater harvest work of helping people on the road to life. We look forward to seeing her again in the resurrection on the cleansed earth doing those things she enjoyed so much forever!

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
