Marian Evelyn Choplin Goodwin

Mrs. Goodwin was employed for many years with Burroughs-Wellcome in RTP, before finishing her career with Duke University. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Bethesda Baptist Church, and recently, Olive Branch Baptist Church, where she loved to play the piano.

Marian is survived by her children, Deborah Beasley, and her husband, Kevin, of Durham, Michele Friedlein, and her husband, Darren, of Durham, April Goodwin, and Mitch Mohrmann, of Fries, VA; grandchildren, Jamie Adam Beasley, and his wife, Amber, Courtney Riley, and her husband, Brandon, Jackson Beasley, Grant Friedlein, Spencer Friedlein, Samantha Mohrmann; great-grandchildren, Braxton Beasley, Beau Beasley, Charleigh-Fae Beasley, Coley Riley, Skyler Riley, Paislee Riley, Preslee Riley, Oaklee Riley, Willow Dancer; brother, Eddie Choplin, of Durham; sisters, Jean Bogan, of Durham, Jeanette Roberts, of Willow Springs, NC.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home. Entombment followed in Raleigh Memorial Park.
