Hi Marcus, I miss you so much bro. I wish you knew how much you meant to me. When we met it couldn’t have been a more perfect time for me. I was struggling to meet friends and one day I met you. Back in 2014 we played games almost every night and had such amazing times filled with laughter. I really wish we would have been able to meet up in-person and continue our friendship. You will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace Alex, it was incredibly fun to have you around. I won't ever forget you or your humor.

May Marcus Alex rest in peace. He was such a great friend of mine, It was never sad being around him. What a great person he was, he would constantly used to cheer me up and would never leave me in sad times.

We all loved Alex so much. Such a sweet smart soul. He is at peace now and for that we can be thankful. He will always be in our hearts and memories.

My son was a classmate of Marcus at Leesville Road High School. We are all very saddened at this time.

We met Alex with our dear friends, his Finnish grandma Leena and step-grandpa Olavi in Helsinki some years ago. What a smart and delightful boy and so full of life  -  what a sad loss. I am so devastated to hear about Marcus‘s passing. I have the fondest memories of him when I had the honor of being his teacher in 2010. He was such a bright boy and always had the best smile. Being greeted by him in the morning it was a highlight of my days. I wanted to share a picture from our beach trip that year. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this unimaginable time. May he rest in peace now. All my love ❤️

     Our sincerest sympathy and condolences to your Family upon hearing of Alex's passing.  No words can express the sorrow especially when they are our children and grandchildren.
     Carolyn and I have known Joe and Deborah  and their Family for over 40 years and made several visits  at their home in Rocky Mount in our travels to Florida from New York State. What a truly Wonderful Family and we have often talked about their boys and the grand kids, and this was certainly a very sad day for everyone.
     We always talk on the phone for birthdays and talk about family.

I am so sorry to hear about Marcus’ passing. He and I were friends in middle school, we would play a lot of Counter-strike together on our computers. He introduced me to a lot of games and things I enjoy today. I have many fond memories of Marcus from those times. I will be forever grateful of what time we spent together.

Our family has suffered an immeasurable loss.  Hearts are broken and we have a difficult journey toward healing.   

Alex, my great nephew , will always be in our heart  and cherished memories.    His spirit soars and he is at peace. 



I am deeply saddened to hear the news about the passing of Marcus. Marcus and I were good friends in middle school, and he was always a bright spot in my day. Marcus never failed to make me laugh and I always looked forward to seeing him in class and at lunch. He was extremely funny and kind-hearted, and I am so lucky to be able to call him my friend. My favorite memory of Marcus is from 8th grade. He didn’t come to our graduation, but I told him he needed to come on the second to last day of school because it was my birthday. He gave me a high five and he shook my hand, but he used his left hand while I used my right. It made me laugh, and the other day I realized I had a video of it, and watching it made me smile. Marcus was a light in this world, and he will be missed by me as well as by many others. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time.

I knew Marcus since 1st grade and he always stayed a great friend throughout elementary and middle school. He had the most contagious laugh and we always bonded with humor. So many random memories I’ve been holding dear in the last week. 
I found such a sweet photo in an old yearbook I thought I should share. 

Marcus was an amazing friend to me and others and has left such an impact. I am so sorry for his family’s loss, and my prayers go out to them. He was so sweet and had such an amazing sense of humor and he made my middle school experience so much better. I will always remember the laughs we had sitting on the bus, and the good times we had just goofing around. He will forever be in my heart.
