Lyle Golden Ross

Lyle Golden Ross, 99, went to be with Jesus Christ, her Savior, on September 7, 2015. Mrs. Ross was born in Walnut Grove, Mississippi on November 28, 1915, to Dr. and Mrs. Lovette Golden. She graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. During World War II she worked at the Pentagon in the Bureau of Public Relations.

In 1946, Mrs. Ross married L.H. Ross and moved to Washington, North Carolina. In 1996, she moved to Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she lived for eighteen years. She moved to the Rosewood Healthcenter at the Cypress Club of Raleigh in 2014.

Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Dr. Max Golden.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ross of Raleigh, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Baptist Church, 400 Newton Road, Raleigh, NC. on Friday September 11, 2015 at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends following the Service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Christ Baptist Church, 400 Newton Rd., Raleigh, NC 27615 or to The Raleigh Rescue Mission, PO Box 27562, Raleigh, NC 27690.
